1. Download the installer and read it before running it. It is 110 lines of shell, no magic.
2. Run it. It asks three things: your NIGHT address, a name for this machine, and whether you want the encrypted port.
3. It checks the binary against its published SHA-256, then measures your machine to pick the fastest thread count.
4. Open your miner page to watch your shares arrive.

The miner is built here and published as a single static binary, with the SHA-256 below to check it against. It is Linux x86-64 only for now; on Windows, WSL2 runs it at full speed.

No registration, no account.

A round runs from one block to the next.

The reward is split in proportion to real work.

A coinbase reward matures after 1440 confirmations.

Two commands: download the script, read it, run it. It asks three things (your NIGHT address, a name for this machine, whether you want the encrypted port), checks the binary against its published SHA-256, then measures your machine to pick the fastest thread count. Nothing else is installed.

Piping a script into a shell means running code you have not read. If you would rather check first — and you should:

1 — download it

The installer does this for you and refuses to go on if it differs. To check by hand, the published value is:

3 — read it, then run it

less install-night-miner.sh && sh install-night-miner.sh

Everything lands in ./night-miner: no service, no autostart, nothing added to your shell. rm -rf night-miner removes it and a reboot has nothing to undo. Your wallet is separate and is never touched by the miner.

NIGHT has no market, no listing and no price. The chain this pool currently mines is a rehearsal network: the alpha fork is set for 23 August 2026 and the final mainnet for 31 October 2026. Mining it is a bet on what it becomes, not an income. Mine only what you can afford to see come to nothing.
